Broad, Beautiful Smiles with or without braces!

A healthy smile with bright and well aligned teeth is an important social and professional asset. Through orthodontics, teeth that don't fit together properly can be straightened to bring teeth to an ideal and healthier position. Improper alignments of teeth may also affect speech and digestion because of inadequate chewing. Teeth that are not well aligned or overcrowded may be more difficult to clean and cause decay or gum disease prematurely.

2-Phase orthodontic Treatment | Braces

At Smile On Steeles, we provide comprehensive orthodontics. This type of treatment goes beyond front teeth appearance and looks at the whole jaw and facial build (craniofacial structure) in order to make teeth alignment, appearance and overall bite as best as possible. It is particularly recommended for kids where bone and muscle growth can be used in correcting a problem. The treatment is made in phases that extend over a few years. The result is healthy, with perfectly functional teeth and jaws in a fully balanced face.

Conditions needing orthodontics treatment:

  • Overcrowded and misaligned teeth
  • Teeth that don't close properly (malocclusion)
  • Lower jaw too small or too large
  • Jaw(s) too narrow
  • Excess space between teeth
  • Missing teeth
  • Cleft palate

Invisalign® Clear Aligners

Invisalign® is a teeth alignment system that uses clear, almost invisible, removable trays to straighten teeth. Trays are custom-made for you, and you wear them all day and night, except to eat, brush and floss. Trays are changed every two to three weeks to move to the next step in the treatment. Dr. William Gutierrez will need to see you about every six weeks to monitor progress.

The Invisalign treatment is gentle on teeth, has little effect on root resorption, and is discomfort-free. At the end of treatment, you will receive a retainer that is needed to prevent teeth from going back to their former inadequate position. Invisalign treatment takes roughly a year to be completed. Although it can solve many orthodontic problems, it may not be appropriate for severe problems that require comprehensive orthodontic solutions.
